  Spell Casters

Without a doubt the high priests and priestesses of MLM are the polished Master Dream Casters with their verbal tapestry of lies and misdirection.  When a Dream Caster has worked their magic the will have created a following of Spell Casters.  The Spell Casters chant the teachings of the Dream Weavers over and over again.  Many of the Spell Casters even buy audio tapes of their favorite Dream Weavers to listen to over and over again until they are in that blissful trance state necessary to conduct MLM in a business as usual fashion.

However unlike a Dream Weaver, a Spell Caster doesn't actually think for him or her self.  They are more inclined to simply repeat totally erroneous statements over and over until they are convinced that they are the truth.  If give the opportunity a Spell Caster will chant this same absurd rhetoric to you until you either quit answering the phone, move away or start to join in the chant.

A spell Casters job is to deliver you unto the Dream Weaver for indoctrination.  To this end they parrot little snippets of stories they have heard from the Dream Weavers and a few phrases that range from the seemingly innocuous to the standard bold faced lies repeated over and over in MLM.  However, because the Spell Caster generally lacks the success of a Dream Weaver they can not tell the lies with the necessary CONVICTION and are thus relegated to mumbling the lesser lies of MLM.

All they really need is a few lies to get you in front of a Dream Weaver.  Generally both you and the Spell Caster know the Spell Caster is lying but that is of no consequence to this dance.  All the Spell Caster needs to do is chant the lies often enough to awaken your greedy little ego long enough to make you think that you at least owe it to yourself to check it out.

Just a side note here; many Spell Casters actually begin this process by getting you to try the products in the hope that you will have a profound product experience and that you will then be compelled to do the business.  It is sad that there is such an emphasis placed on recruitment because there are actually a number of MLM companies with excellent products (I might add overpriced too).  Once you express interest in continued product use a novice Spell Caster will be all over you like white on rice & Lord help you if you are a relative of the Spell Caster.  They don't realize that they would do much better letting you stay a satisfied retail customer giving them much needed volume.  Instead the drag you over to the Dream Casters Lair get you all kinds of excited about your new yacht and in 3-6 months you are burned out because the dream isn't paying out the way they sold it to you.  I have actually figured out that my happy retail customers are worth 15-20 distributors to me in terms of profitability over two years.  But I digress, this is the wrong forum for teaching how to make MLM actually work.

Back to the Spell Casters and the lesser lies of MLM. Remember the scene in the Wizard of OZ where Todo discovered truth about the Great OZ.  The wizard realizing that his tricks are wearing thin commands in a loud voice "Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain"  I love that scene.  Unlike most Dream Weavers, Spell Casters can often be brought back from the brink.  All you need to do is whack 'em right in the little man behind the curtain.  Ready?? Here we go...

ANYBODY COULD DO THIS THING...

Well if that is true why do over 90% of the people in MLM make less than $100 a year at it?  Why is it that over 95% of the people in MLM don't earn enough return from their business to cover their monthly order?  Why is it that out of all of your friends who you know have tried MLM either no one or very few have ever quit their day job because of MLM.  And if you did know someone who made it big in MLM How Long Did the Checks Really Last??

You Don't Have To Sell Stuff...

Sometimes they say "We don't sell things, we SHARE with our friends."  Well if you don't have to sell stuff that leaves only one way to get paid.  Recruit people.  The only problem with that is that it is against the law in all 50 states to get paid for signing people up.  You do have to sell stuff and if you are going to make any real money in MLM you are going to have to sell ALLOT of stuff (your integrity may be up for bid too).

In my experience in sales as a regular commissioned salesperson, sales manager, telemarketers, door-to-door, direct mail, MLM failure, MLM success story and successful online marketer I can say the following with the utmost certainty:

At best only about 10% of the population are either "natural born" sales types or can be effectively trained in the methodology and execution of professional sales techniques.  The other 90% of the population generally hate the afore mentioned 10%.

They tell you a lie about not needing to sell stuff to allow your greed to drive you to the next opportunity meeting without your ego having a hissy fit.

You Only Need Two People...

Or you only need a few "Key" people.  Actually this one is kinda' true.  However you don't know them yet.  They will show up somewhere deep in your organization or you will have to do massive reaching our and recruiting to find those few "Key" people.  I have a downline of thousands of distributors that spans three continents and I can count my "key" people on one hand and still manage to hold onto a beer while I named them for you.

Do the math.  You join the MLM of the week and get two people.  You get 10% commission on everything they buy (if you are very lucky) and all they have to buy for you to retire is.......

Next.

We Are Poised for Explosive Growth...

Yeah you and every other 18 month old MLM that bit the dust this month alone.  I have been going to the same MLMs company meetings and reading the company newsletters for over 6 years.  They are always Poised For Explosive Growth.  Even when they report losses for three quarters in a row.

But forget all that, let us just notice that they say "Poised for Explosive Growth" like it is a good thing.  I know a billion dollar producer in a traditional brick and mortar international business that "survived" explosive growth.  I say survived because explosive growth will kill more companies even faster than losses year after year.  Losses can be managed.  Explosive growth has to be ridden.  It is a rare and highly skilled CEO who can even hope to hold a company together that is experiencing explosive growth.  Just because the Dream Weavers and Spell Casters are saying the company has seasoned MLM leaders at the helm doesn't make it so.  In Fact "seasoned" in MLM means you have been there time and time again when the ship was going down.

MLM companies can grow at over 300% a year!  That is frightening not exciting.  When you lay down to go to sleep tonight think about how you would handle an increase of 300% of whatever you do in one short year at your company.  Think like a CEO.  Now imagine that your retirement or your residual income was dependent on how that growth was handled and you will begin to get the picture.

This Is A Product Driven Business...

Then why in the hell are they trying to recruit you??  This is another attempt to make you believe that you don't have to sell stuff.  As if all they need you to do is take orders for the fulfillment department so they can send you fistfuls of cash.  The other message that is trying to be delivered is that "This isn't a money driven scam".  Again the Spell Caster is just chanting phrases until something awakens the greed.

If it were truly a product driven business than why do they need sales people at all.  Truth is there is no such thing as a "Product Driven Business"  Even tobacco and cocaine  which are addictive have to be "pushed" on people.  Even your local supermarket "sells" you on one food over another.  As if you would forget to eat for a month is you didn't get your weekly coupon flyer in the Sunday paper.

#1 Compensation Plan in the Industry...

Just once I would love to be at an opportunity meeting and hear the speaker say "All these great products and the #4 rated compensation plan in all of MLM"  I know they have to say #1, but you get my point.  I invite you to really dig into the pages on compensation plans in MLM.  It took me years to figure it all out and you can pop a Spell Casters concentration in a heart beat with some cold hard facts about compensation plans dumped in their lap in rapid succession.

Most Spell Casters have no idea how they get paid, they are just chanting #1 over and over because they really want to believe it.

Downline Built For You....

Well isn't that mighty neighborly of you.  Sounds like a guaranteed return on my investment.  Sure hope you have papers filed with the SEC.  Tell you what.  I promise I will join your opportunity as soon as you come back and show me the signed applications of all of these people you are gong to put in my downline.  Or since you are so selflessly going to give me a thriving MLM business you probably wouldn't mind loaning me the money to join the deal and I will pay you back 100:1 out of my very first earnings checks.  I would feel bad if I couldn't show my appreciation to you for all of your hard work <grin>  This usually shuts them up.

Of course you could always send a Spell Caster here for deprogramming <LOL>
